This year I am feeling like I'm ready to bloom! That's my "word of the year", a practice I have been using for several years now - pick a word and focus your intentions around it. Previous words for me have been transformation, courage, explore... This year bloom felt right. For me it is a word of encouragement, of growth, of beauty.
I started this year off by setting up my journal, full of colourful art and optimistic goals and creative endeavours, so I thought I would share with you my hopes and dreams for this new year...
My first spread is a vision board of the word bloom, made with lots of collage from my favourite magazines, scanned in from books and found on the British Library and Wellcome Collection's free online image archives. Then, the year at a glance. The calendar was kindly created by Kara from www.bohoberry.com as a free resource for members of her tribe.
I've decided on lots of challenging and exciting goals for 2018! These spreads show my main aims, split into themes, with smaller goals to acheive throughout the year.
Lastly the spreads for 2018 I wanted to share with you, are of a bucket list of things I want to do in 2018, and a list of activities for when I'm feeling sad, funky, unproductive to help fill my well!
For my set up for January, I went with a bird theme and have kept things simple with some journalling, a calendar from Andrea Schroeder's year of dreams journalling kit (https://creativedreamincubator.simplero.com/), a list of goals to focus on for the month, space for adding in things I'm grateful for and a habit tracker, which was another free resource from Kara over at Boho Berry.
I'm looking forward to tackling some of these goals and continuing to play in my journal - it's very therapeutic creating the spreads!
