Quick One On Wolves

So I've had a long day at work and I have <30 mins till a dear friend comes over for dinner and a catch up - today's post will be a quick one, as I'm loving daily blogging but... Life!

I was struggling with some inspiration, as I don't want to delve too deep into my psyche so looking around my studio, I caught a glimpse of my monthly theme - wolf.

Before the start of a new year, I like to pull a 12 card spread from my beloved oracle deck "Earth Magic" to give an over-arching reading for the year to come. 12 cards for 12 months.

At the start of each month, I look up what my card was and the symbolism behind it, and that becomes my intention/ focus/ theme for the month. I'm not beholden to it, but it's so far been pretty darn accurate to what's happening with me.

September, my card was the wolf.

Shed your inhibitions, do not harm but listen to your gut. Take guidance from your wolf spirit.

I saw a wolf a few months back (pictured) at a nature reserve, and was blown away by the experience. To me, wolves represent wildness. Freedom without inhibition. Your inner spirit that howls at the moon. I bloody love them.

Somewhat timely as well, I'm currently making my way through the book "woman who run with wolves", which explores stories and archetypes of your inner wild woman. It's heavy reading so I dip in and out, but it feels good to learn more and delve into the wilder side of things.

So this month, I'm listening to my gut. I'm being braver with saying no and making sure my words are meaningful and listened to. It's going quite well. My confidence is growing and so is my trust in myself.

I'm also feeling pretty badass - I got this! I'm doing the work and I'm honouring and growing.

I've got a wolf spirit within me to guide me along the way.

I am blogging everyday in September, inspired by Effy Wild of www.effywild.com who is doing the same! Please check out her blog - she's awesome! And if you want to join in too, do leave a link to your blog in the comments and we can read along with each other :-)
