Self Love Practice To Tackle a Busy Week
Today marked the start of a very busy, likely stressful week. Looking at my schedule I can see I've well and truly over-committed myself. It's Monday evening and I already wish it was Saturday morning! No! I hate wishing days away so in prep for my monster of a week, I made sure to take some time out and read my latest copy of Breathe magazine.
I love Breathe, it really is a breath of fresh air when you read it. From the zero third party advertising to the beautiful illustrations, it's jam packed full of mindful articles and writing on creativity. And no, I'm not affiliated, just a big fan :-)
Anyway, so in this month's issue of Breath, there was a little daily self love practice that you could fill in. I thought I'd take ten minutes out and give it a go...
You are good enough just the way you are <3
After I've updated the blog, I'm going to spend the rest of the evening relaxing and painting along to some damn good tv (I just started Westworld - it's awesome)
Five things I love about myself:
- I am kind
- I am open to new experiences
- I try to see the best in people
- I am living a creative life as best I can
- I am true to myself
Five things I am grateful for:
- Having a warm cozy home when it's raining outside
- My loving partner
- My bed (haha)
I will take my 5 minutes of mindfulness, meditation or reflection at or after:
Right here. Right now.
I am blogging everyday (most days!) in September, inspired by Effy Wild of www.effywild.com who is doing the same! Please check out her blog - she's awesome! And if you want to join in too, do leave a link to your blog in the comments and we can read along with each other :-)
