December Reflections: Best Decision of 2017
This is an easy one for me. The best decision (and actually, most recent!) of 2017 was going to New York to spend time with my friend.
It’s really, really hard when people you care about live (quite literally) oceans apart from you. There’s nothing quite like actual face time so even though I was pretty nervous about just upping and flying alone to America, I’m so glad I did.
I had such a great time in New York, it will stay with me forever. Although I went to a lot of amazing museums and ate delicious food, saw great sights and bought all the kawaii stationery my little suitcase could handle; the most treasured memories will be sitting on the sofa watching cheesy films and drinking wine with my best bitch as we talked the nights away.
For what is life worth without the people you share it with? And what keeps happy memories from dulling without those you love sparkling at the centre?
Here’s to friends, near and far, with whom you’ll laugh till you cry and cry till you laugh and here’s to taking those little leaps of faith in yourself to making decisions that matter.
Love you, boo.
