New Art Journal
I'm a little bit addicted to buying art journals - I never quite seem to finish them, but I love collecting different styles and sizes. Hopefully over the years I will manage to make my way through them all! I was looking for a small journal that I could write in as well as paint, and I needed one with decent thick paper as I use a lot of ink and watercolour in my artwork. In the end I opted for a beautiful handmade journal, which is Fair Trade and made by a charity in Rajasthan that promotes women's education and their social standing in the rural villages.
It's very thick, which does make it a little tricky sometimes (I have to pin down the pages) but the quality of the paper is really good, and I love the fact that this journal also helps provide empowerment for the women who made it.
